Expect Delays

The expression ‘Expect Delays’ is heard every morning on the traffic news. The quilt celebrates our love affair with the car - whilst lamenting the frustration of the traffic jam. We start our journey (top left) full of the joys of motoring, each successive block revealing more of the complete 41cm block (bottom right). This is shaded from light to dark, with the tyre design representing our gradual realisation that traffic causes pollution.
